You will be paid out for all accrued unused vacation, subject to the maximum allowed, through your employment end date. If you meet age and service requirements for retirement at your employment end date, you will also be paid out for ¼ of your accrued unused sick leave, subject to the maximum allowed. Once your MyLeave calendar is up to date for the remainder of your employment, we will conduct a leave audit and then will be able to provide you with an exact amount of your gross payout.
Your elected benefits (medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, Life, etc.) if any, will continue until the last day of the month of your employment. You may opt to continue your current medical, dental and/or vision coverage under COBRA. Please check CU’s COBRA rate sheet: https://www.cu.edu/docs/cobra-rate-sheet. You may have more affordable alternatives for coverage through other group health plans (such as spouse/partner’s plan) or by checking the Colorado Health Insurance Marketplace.

Once your IdentiKey is disabled, you will no longer have access to the MyCUInfo portal. Please make sure to download any items you will need from the portal and ensure that your personal information, including mailing address, is up to date in the portal before your last day of employment.

Your termination letter serves as evidence of your University of Colorado Boulder employment separation.
